These are my two sister’s Jaylene and Janeya, and they both mean the absolute world to me. I love them so much, and I can’t ever imagine not being there for them or not being a part of their life. I am the oldest sister, and I know that they look up to me. Which is why it is so important that I take care of my body, and encourage them to do the same. A recent guideline change is attempting to raise the age for a woman to receive her first Pap test to the age of 25, NOT age 21. I think many women try to postpone getting a Pap test because of the discomfort or awkwardness that they may feel during the appointment. However, that temporary discomfort can possibly save your life.
The Pap Is Worth It
Jasmine is raising awareness to a potential age guideline change to the Pap test so young women like her sisters won’t miss the chance to keep access to such a life-saving test. She also reminds us that a small, temporary discomfort is worth it when it can save your life.
