“In my teenage years, I was an athlete so I always had to have my check ups regularly. Later in my years, I had my “big check up” to check for cervical cancer. It can be a nerve-wracking experience but it’s more worth knowing than not knowing at all. So many women don’t get screened and by the time they do it’s already too late. That’s why it’s so important to speak on this topic.
The best advice my mother gave me was to “just do it.” So I’m passing this same advice on to you! I currently have a little girl and when she’s growing into a young woman, I will make sure she is educated on Pap tests like I was.”
