January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month and I am participating in the 25andAlive Campaign✨🤍
A recent guideline change is threatening to end access to the Pap for women under 25. For those of you who don’t know, I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). A hormonal disorder causing enlarged ovaries with small cysts on the outer edges. I was diagnosed when I was 18 and I am now 25. It was so important for me to be able to have access to the Pap test and Pap screenings because of my reproductive health history!
I couldn’t imagine not being able to have a pap screening when I could have been in danger. As a woman with reproductive health issues, it is important for me to have continued access to Pap Smears to ensure my health & safety. 🤍
Let’s stand together because ALL women deserve to be 25 and alive! 🙌🏾👏🏾
